About the Workshops

My Workshops are held in our beautiful purpose built studio in Leytonstone London E11, situated on the edge of Epping Forest. It is easily accessible by Central Line tube, or if traveling by car, parking is not a problem. All workshops are in small friendly groups, usually with a maximum of 8 students, so that plenty of individual attention may be given, to ensure personal success and achievement. Lots of enthusiasm and inspiration will be provided. Most workshops are usually for 1 day, from 10am-4pm, but some more advanced courses are for 2days or more. Come by yourself, or with a friend, and you are sure to have fun. The cost includes refreshments, unless specified otherwise. Some materials are also provided but extra can be purchased from me on the day. On booking, an equipment list will be sent.

All current courses are in Felt making techniques. Courses are offered in Basic techniques, seamless 3D items, such as bags and hats, and Nuno felting, which is laminating wool onto fabric to create rich and wonderful textures. We will work with Merino wool combed tops, which come in a vast range of rich and beautiful colours, and are available locally. You are advised to book a Basic course first and then progress to learning more advanced techniques. From time to time I may also offer workshops in other textile subjects, such as silk painting, dyeing, Shibori, discharge dyeing, devoré, and machine embroidery.
